Zero started singing at the college bar Saga. The bassist use to listen to tapes constantly as a kid. The drummer was influenced by his sibling's love of music. The members of Zero were friends in grade school. The band was influenced by the Rolling Stones.

About Zero
After paying their dues and opening shows for years, Zero was signed to a record deal. Zero were still not sure if they would make it after getting a record. They had heard too many stories and knew that they were in no position to expect anything.
Zero accepted they had finally made it when the group’s first fan club was started by Maria Carter in 1987. The club started out small, with just a handful of members around Shelbyville. After the group’s first national tour the club grew dramatically, reaching a membership in the thousands.
Zero's members hope this next tour brings in more fans than ever. The group is in the middle of the promotional tour for their newest album. Zero's new album has been heavily influenced by artists of the 1980s.
The group has always had a good time in Philadelphia so they make sure to play there every year, even if they are not promoting anything. Zero will mix songs from the most current album with hits from its previous release.
