Wax On Radio will spend some time apart after the tour, to allow the band members to recharge after a long year. The group is in the midst of the accompanying tour for their most current release.
The years of paying their dues paid off when Wax On Radio signed a record deal. The band played for years atdive bars making almost no money. Wax On Radio’s first release rose quickly in the charts, giving them the national recognition they always wanted. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller bars in which they began.
Wax On Radio realized that they had a real chance to become a headlining national act in 1975, as soon as the group's first fan club was started by Karen Jean. The fan club grew from a few dozen to a few thousand after Kim Rohrs created a website for the group and a national tour gave the band plenty of exposure.
