The years of paying their dues paid off when Wave Day signed a record deal. The group group played festivals, parties, bars, really just about anywhere that would take them. Wave Day signed the record deal, but were not expecting the next step to be any easier. The groupplays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller venues in which they began.
Wave Day realized that they could really have a career in music in 1989, as soon as Maria Natalello started the band’s first fan club. The fan club grew from a few dozen to a few thousand after Jen Carter created a website for the group and a national tour gave the band plenty of exposure.
