Watershed’s members were friends in middle school. The group used to sell their tapes out of their van at school. Watershed began playing at City, a college dive bar. The lead singer discovered his love of music while listening to his father's record collection.

A member of Watershed started dating a girl whose auntwas a record executive. She passed the single on to them and the band signed a record deal soon after. The band members were excited once they were signed and quit their odd jobs that had supported them while they worked toward their dreams. The band is on tour constantly, performing before sold out audiences nightly.
Watershed knew that they could really have a career in music in 1985, as soon as Liz Hemmingway started the band’s first fan club. The fan club grew from a few dozen to a few thousand after Kathleen Richardson created a website for the group and a national tour gave the band plenty of exposure.
After this past busy year the members of Watershed will take some time off. The band just finished their most current record, but they are already thinking of their next move. Watershed's new project is the group's first album since the band broke up two years ago.
Watershed seamlessly blends the songs from the past album with tracks from their latest record. Las Vegas has always been receptive to the band, even when they were small time, so the band schedules a show there every year, even if they are not touring.
