About Venice

A member of Venice started dating a girl whose familywas a record executive. She passed the single on to them and the band signed a record deal soon after. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather perform in the smaller venues which they began.

Venice knew that their dream of making an actual life for themselves as musicians had come true when the band’s first fan club was started by Debra Piper in 1987. The fan club may have just started out with a few members that followed the band when the played in small clubs, but it quickly grew to thousands after the group released its first album and started touring nationally.

The new album from Venice is a refinement of their well-established sound. The band recently finished their new album, and they are already plotting the next move. Venice are expecting to bring in another group of fans with this tour and the most current project.

Generally critics will commend Venice for their ability to energize the audience at concerts. Miami music critic Wade Carter has always been enamored with band’s amazing rhythms. Venice’s newest release has received excellent praise from Howie Gitlewski, a music critic out of Shelbyville, and George Noonan, from Buffalo.
