Vains of Jenna’s members met in 1993. The guitarist used to fall asleep with a recordplaying as a teenager. The lead singer was heavily influenced by his brother's love for music. Vains of Jenna began playing in small clubs. Hank Williams heavily influenced the early work of the band.

Vains of Jenna were still not sure if they would make it after getting a record. They had heard too many stories and knew that they were in no position to expect anything. The group is enjoying its success, touring constantly. Vains of Jenna talked to a program director from Z91.1 and got their single on air. The girlfriend of a record executive heard the song and soon after Vains of Jenna was signed. All the members quit their other jobs to focus on their record.
The group is in the midst of the tour accompanying for their most current project. Vains of Jenna's newest release is the group's eighth album.
