The members of U.n.k.l.e. met in 1976. The drummer wanted to start a band since he was in middle school. The guitarist use to listen to record constantly as a kid. U.n.k.l.e. started singing at Beach, a local bar. The band harassed the local radio station to play their first single.

U.n.k.l.e.'s latest record is a refinement of their critically-acclaimed sound. The group is in the beginning of the tour promoting for their newest project. U.n.k.l.e. will spend some time apart after this next tour, allowing the band members to pursue individual projects.
U.n.k.l.e. was discovered while joking around, performing on the street one day. The members of the band all quit their other jobs to focus on their music. U.n.k.l.e. always wanted to hear themselves at the top of the charts and they got their wish with the release of their first single. The band plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller bars in which they began.
U.n.k.l.e. accepted that they could really have a career in music in 1992, as soon as Liz Harkenreader started the group’s first fan club. Initially the band only had a few fans from Concord in the club, but after playing from New York to California the fan club’s membership exploded to a few thousand.
