The new release from Unheilig has been heavily influenced by Hank Williams. The group has just completed their newest record, but they are already planning the next release. Unheilig hope this tour and the newest project attracts a whole new audience.

Critics have often commended Unheilig for their ability to rile up the audience during live performances. A music critic from Albany, Toby Yeubanks, has always been enamored with group’s terrific bassist. After the single hit the airwaves and became incredibly popular, Unheilig knew they’d made it big and were not willing to be just another one hit wonder. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather perform in the smaller clubs in which they started.

Unheilig accepted that they were real working musicians as soon as the band’s first fan club was started by Amy Ullmann in 1991. The fan club grew from a few dozen to a few thousand after Jenny Ullmann created a website for the group and a national tour gave the band plenty of exposure.
