Ugly Friend's latest record has taken the group in a completely different direction, with a more complex musical structure. The band is in the first leg of the accompanying tour for their latest release. After this last busy year the members of Ugly Friend will take a break.
A member of Ugly Friend started dating a girl whose fatherwas a record executive. She passed the single on to them and the band signed a record deal soon after. All the members quit their day jobs to focus on their music. The band plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller clubs in which they started.
Ugly Friend's concerts always have the audience singing by the end of the show. The band has always had a good time in Kansas City so they make sure to play there every year, even if they are not promoting anything.
