Travis met with a local DJ from X97.1 and convinced him to play their single on air. The single immediately became a local hit and larger radio stations started playing the song. Eventually a record executive heard it and signed the group. The band's members all had odd jobs while they waited for their time to come. Travis were still a little worried after they released their debut single, but were relieved when the release began to get some radio play. The group really enjoys performing and is playing almost nightly for fans.
Travis will spend some time apart after this next tour, allowing the group members to work on individual projects. The band is in the first leg of the tour accompanying for their most current album.
