The members of The Fixx met in 1980. The guitarist discovered his love of music while listening to his sister's music collection. The Fixx began performing at Fighter, a local club. The group harassed the local radio station to play their first single.

The Fixx were sure they were not going to be a one hit wonder after their single became popular. After paying their dues and opening shows for years, The Fixx was signed to a record deal.
The Fixx accepted that the possibility of living life as actual musicians was a real possibility as soon as Michelle Pillar started a fan club for the group in 1981. Starting out with just a few dozen members in Biloxi, the fan club quickly grew with group’s national tour and the launching of the group’s website by Linda Piper.
The group has just completed their latest project, but they are thinking of what is to come next. The Fixx's most current record is the group's first album since the band broke up five years ago.
