San Gabriel Seven began playing at Joker, a college club. The bassist was encouraged to play by his teacher. The bassistdiscovered his love of music by listening to his mom's record collection. San Gabriel Seven was discovered after their single was heard on a local music hour on Q96.1. The groupwas headlining shows soon after they started playing live. San Gabriel Seven were happy to get the record deal, but were not sure how far they would go. The release of their first single convinced them that they were right where they should be after their songs began to get lots of radio play.
San Gabriel Seven finally realized they made it when Kimberly Jasper started a fan club for the band in 1977. Starting out with just a few dozen members in Houston, the fan club quickly grew with band’s national tour and the launching of the group’s website by Ruth Rummerfield.
San Gabriel Seven's latest album is the group's tenth project. The group may have just completed their most current release, but they are already thinking of their next move. Members of San Gabriel Seven see this tour as a chance to expose another audience to their music.
