Rodrigo Y Gabriela was discovered after their single was heard on a local music hour on Q90.9. The members of the band all quit their other jobs to focus on their music. The group plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller bars in which they began.
Rodrigo Y Gabriela finally realized they made it when Lisa Francoeur started the first fan club for the band in 1990. The fan club grew from a few dozen to a few thousand after Amy Anderson created a website for the band and a national tour gave the group plenty of exposure.
The band is in the first leg of the accompanying tour for their newest record. After this past non-stop year the members of Rodrigo Y Gabriela will take a break to recharge.
