Artist: Reverend Horton Heat
Genera: Rock
Latest Album: We Three Kings
Background: Reverend Horton Heat is one of the most popular psychobilly artist. His only comparision being the genre founders the Cramps. The Reverend is a three-man band and includes its guitar-playing frontman. They built a strong fan following by wide touring, manic showmanship coupled with a twisted sense of humor. Their true innovation was bringing the psychobilly sound upto the alternative rock era. It was not just a retro kitsch. With the loud distorted guitars, it rocked as hard as a punk band. Reverend's lyrics were mostly celebrations of sex, drugs, booze, and cars etc. His concerts often featured mock sermons, in true to his name, rural revivalist preacher style.
