About Ozomatli

The band members started their career by singing at the local clubs and after making their name and earning a devoted fan following on the local club circuit, the band made an electrifying appearance on the popular urban late-night talk show Vibe; then followed their self-titled debut in June of 1998. Their next hugely anticipated album "Embrace the Chaos" was released in 2001. In 2003, the band issued "Coming Up."

Their unique music and energetic performances made them quite famous and also earned them a cult following. Then they started working on their third full length album "Street Signs" which came out in 2004. This album caused a stir among the fans and also earned some rave reviews from the critics, but that was not enough as it went on to win a Grammy for the band. Then the band embarked on a full length tour, followed by their numerous performances in the concerts.

In 2005, the band issued a concert CD, "Live at the Fillmore" blended with a DVD of the show on the tenth anniversary of the band. Though, Cut Chemist went on to record his solo album.
