Background:
A well accepted presence in the popular synth pop movement of the '80s. This hugely popular "Naked Eyes" or new romantic duo was formed in Britain in 1981. The band Comprised of Rob Fisher (Keyboards) and Pete Byrne (vocals). They released their debut album "Burning Bridges" in March 1983. The album received reasonable success and it was reissued in the U.S. a month later. This time it was released after deducting few tracks, as a self-titled effort. Their lead single "Always Something There to Remind Me," acclaimed as a huge hit on both sides of the Atlantic. Eventually, the track reached the Top ten spot in the America and also received heavy airplay on the famous MTV network.

Their next album "Promises, Promise" was also acclaimed as a major hit, throughout the US. In 1984, the band issued "Fuel for the Fire," the album could not receive the kind of success their earlier albums did. After this the duo disbanded dramatically and in 1988 resurfaced again as one half of the famous pop duo Climie Fisher. Unfortunately, Fisher died on 25 August 1999, because of some stomach complications. Their hit singles include: Always Something There To Remind Me," "Promises, Promises," "When The Lights Go Out," and "(What) In The Name Of Love." Their styles are related to Synth Pop, new wave and New Romantic.
