This track was followed up by split single with Dweeb titled "Angels vs. Aliens." This single became an instant hit and landed in many popular music charts including Top Ten on the prestigious British indie charts. After this they couldn't release any single but appeared on a series of compilations with other bands. Late in the year, they issued yet another superb single "Summer." This single couldn't get the same response like its predecessor did. Early in 1997, the band issued new single, "New Paths to Helicon" and "Ten Rapid" which was a collection of their earliest material.

The band was about to record the high quality EP in 1997, when they were joined by former Teenage Fanclub member Brendan O'Hare. In the end of 1997, the band issued their debut album "Young Team." This was followed by "Kicking A Dead pig" in 1998. These releases really broaden their fan base. In 1999, Mogwai went on to issue their hugely anticipated album "Come On Die Young."

Since then, they have been releasing the albums or regular basis. The band has given some of the very best indie songs to music lovers. Catch them performing live to know them better, but don't forget to grab your tickets from an on-line ticket vendor to avoid the rush for tickets.
