His first two albums have sold over 30,000 copies. He was born in 1975 in Pittsburgh, PA. When Mason was young, his father relocated to Minneapolis, MN. Mason was keenly interested in music and occasionally he used to get tapes from his favorite father of bands who were on the rage then on the popular Twin City music scene When Mason was 13, years old, he picked up a guitar and eventually started writing songs. After three years, Mason decided to pursue his career in music. Then he dropped out from his school and then moved to Minneapolis and started working on his songs full-time.
At the age of 19, He already grabbed the attention of some major booking agency and was receiving healthy offers from the various record companies. These offers encouraged him and began working on his debut album, which he diligently recorded and scrapped four times and then he came up with a final set of songs. The album was featuring just him and his guitar. The album proved a huge hit and received significant airplay on the popular local radio stations. With this he began playing at Minneapolis' 400 Bar, and eventually earned him an ardent fan base. Then he began gigging with drummer Chris Stock and Robert Skoro, and his band started working on his 2nd album. This was followed by more gigging, but Chris Stock (drummer) left the band. Soon Brazilian jazz musician Edgan Oliveira filled up the spot of percussionist; though Mason continued roadwork. In 2002 he released his third album "Century Spring." Followed by "Use Your Voice" in 2004. Masson has a tremendous experience of performing in concerts, his music comprise high power beats with soothing lyrics.
