The members of Lambchop met in high school. The band used to practice at the lead singer's garage. Lambchop began singing at Chum, a college club. The bassist wanted to start a group since he was in grade school.

The band is in the second leg of the promotional tour for their newest album. The new project is 's first album since the band broke up nine years ago.
Often times, critics will commend Lambchop for their ability to rile up the audience at live performances. Baltimore music critic Abrahams Okerblom has always commended group’s great guitarist. Lambchop’s new album has received great reviews from Howie Jean, a music critic out of Concord, and Wade Nassau, from Raleigh.
Lambchop was offered a record contract after playing at at Rainbow, a local dive bar. The band plays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller clubs in which they began.
Lambchop respects the fact that their fans love their previous albums, so they go to great effort to incorporate the older hits with the latest ones. Phoenix has always been receptive to the band, even when they were small time, so the band schedules a show there every year, even if they are not touring.
