He and his crew are working with local non-profit organizations at every stop on their upcoming tour to create an interactive community called All at Once. They hope to share the Kokua message with the world and motivate music fans all over to create a positive change. World-renowned singer-songwriter and guitarist Dave Matthews, best known for heading the Dave Matthews Band, will perform as part of an acoustic duo this year with friend, Tim Reynolds. Reynolds is best known for diverse styles from flamenco-inspired percussive slapping and plucking to pure distinctive electrical shredding. Paula Fuga, who first performed at 2006’s Kokua Festival, returns after touring the mainland to promote her debut album, Lilikoi. Recently, she won the “Most Promising Artist” award at the Hoku Hano Hano Awards in 2007, which are the most esteemed awards for Hawaiian music. Minneapolis-based Mason Jennings was born in Honolulu, HI and he is well known for intimate lyrics, literary and historical themes and a distinctive voice.
