He is also known as Jam-Man and K-Dub, he is truly a one man jam band. Keller is a self-taught, rhythmic and percussive musician. He plays mainly on the famous acoustic guitars while looping other prevalent instruments with a well equipped Gibsom Echoplex Delay system. Keller formerly used a normal Lexicon Jamman, influenced by Virginia native and Flecktones bassist, Victor Wooten. Many of his ardent fans prefer his pre-looping albums. Keller is truly, a one man band, he is also a very good singer-songwriter, tremendously popular for his unconventional introspective folk songs and great innovative methods of performing in the famous concerts in the jam band scene. Keller's main guitars are specially modified 12 strings Guild JF 30-12s and a big Martin HD-28. Keller has a few traditional and custom guitars, a Godlin Electric, a baritone, a Fender Jazz Bass and a synthesizer. His lyrics are hilarious and often bit of nonsensical with his liberal and lighthearted views on everyday life.
In 2004, he toured on the famous Acoustic Planet Tour with well known Flecktones and Bela Fleck. In 2005, he toured with many successful band including Spearhead, Yonder Mountain String Band, Umphrey's McGee and New Monsoon. In 1994, he released his first album "Freek." Some of his hugely popular songs include: Passapatanzy, Freeker By The Speaker, Dogs, Take Me To the Tundra, Dear Emily, Brunette, One Hit Wonder, Moving Sidewalk, Stinky Green, and Bob Rules.Keller covers many musicians, including Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Simon and Garfunkel, Led Zeppeling, Guns N' Roses, Phish, Ani DiFranco, Neil Young, Ozzy Osbourne, John Prine, and Michael Hedges. Keller's main musical influences include Victor Wooten, Jerry Garcia, Michael Hedges, Leo Kottke, Martin Sexton, Ani Difranco, Joe Craven, Bobby McFerrin, and Charlie Hunter. He released his fervently expected video on DVD, in June 2005. This hugely popular video includes concert footage of 100 minutes.
