About Kathleen Madigan
Kathleen is a journalism graduate of the reputed Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. Initially she tried her luck as standup on a whim and then began performing on open mic nights around the suburbs of St. Louis. Though, her other responsibilities were holding her back but as being a determined woman she quit her job and booked a superb tour through the Southern United States and Midwest.
This tour proved as a turning point of her career and then she began her full-time career in comedy at the age of twenty four. Kathleen's warm stage presence and well-timed and perfect delivery made her a favorite on the comedy circuit and earned her a "Best Female Comedian" award from the reputed American Comedy Awards in 1996. This was very encouraging for Kathleen and confirmed her resolution to pursue the humor ride. With her creative original writing, tremendous thinking and charming magnetism Kathleen eventually caught the eye of some major media talent scouts and she has also performed on a host of reputed syndicated network shows including the hugely popular Tonight Show with Jay Leno and another popular show Late Show with David Letterman. Kathleen released a live CD, titled Kathleen Madigan Live, Which received huge response. In this fast paced world, we hardly get time to enjoy some great moments full of humor.
