Karate Coyote was offered a record contract after putting on a show at at Anyplace, a local dive bar. Karate Coyote signed the record deal, and fully expected that they would last past the first album.
Karate Coyote knew that they had a real chance to become a headlining national act in 1993, as soon as Kathy Lewis started the group’s first fan club. The fan club received a huge boost after Cynthia Wilmouth designed a website for the band. That coupled with the tour from New York to California saw the fan club’s official membership reach numbers in the thousands.
Karate Coyote's newest project has taken the band in a brand new direction, with a bigger sound. The band just finished their most current release, but they are already planning the next release.
