Even after getting the record deal J.D. Walter Quintet were not sure if they would make it in the end. The groupplays plenty of arenas, but would rather play in the smaller venues in which they began.
J.D. Walter Quintet knew that their dream of making an actual life for themselves as musicians had come true in 1976, after Martha Tomaselli started the band’s first fan club. The fan club may have just started out with a few members that followed the band when the played in small clubs, but it quickly grew to thousands after the group released its first album and started touring nationally.
The group loves playing in Philadelphia because they played their first sold out show there. J.D.
