Background:
Jaguares was formed In 1995. It was formed out of the so called skeleton of Califanes, which was a Mexico City rock group. Actually the name was changed due to an incredible dream had by lead singer Saul Hernandez. Saul dreamt that he was playing guitar inside the mouth of a Jaguar. As soon as the name changed, the band took off in popularity, and eventually became one of the most loved rock bands of Mexico. The debut album, “El Equilibrio de los Jaguares," of the Jaguares was released in 1996 by RCA International.

This album proved as a huge hit and consequently built a solid and dedicated fan base for the band. This was very important for the band as they earned a following in a time when it was very difficult for other Mexican rock bands to just get airplay or venues to play in. Soon the genre of the band was frowned upon because of bloody violence during the late '60s at the well known Woodstock-like events. The band released their second album "Bajo de Azul de Tu Misterio" in 1999. This album was put together by band members Sabo Romo on bass, Hernandez, Jarris Margalli on guitar, Cesar Lopez on guitar, and Alfonso Andre on drums.
Their music also comprised contributions of number of supporting musicians including a famous string section. This release enjoyed remarkable commercial success and eventually helped them to fill stadium-sized venues in both their homeland Mexico and the U.S. Their next EP, "Saul Hernandez,” arrived in 2000. This album was followed by their next release "Cronicas de un Laberinto" in 2005. Experience their unique music which is a blend of acoustic beats and soothing lyrics, but first of all get your tickets from an on-line ticket vendor and be there.
