Besides, playing the good country music, Hank III started learning drums and punk music. In between his great musical jest he fell prey to smoked hordes but very soon recovered and mended his ways to country music. In 1996, he decided to take music as career and eventually signed a deal with Major label, Curb.

Under this label, he went on to issue his debut album, "Three Hanks: Men with Broken Hearts." This release was a blend of modern technology and music of all three generations of Williams. Though after this release some differences came up between Hark III and the label; finally, the matter sorted out and label issued Hank III's proper maiden album in 1999, titled, "Risin Outlaw."

This album comprised of thirteen great country songs. After this release, Hank went on to perform many gigs to support this album. During this tour he also performed in the Vans Warped Tour in 2001, and shared the stage with Rancid. Though, this release couldn't prove satisfactory for Hank. In 2002, he issued his next album, "Lovesick, Broke & Driftin." This was his own effort as the entire album was written by him.

Hark was scaling the new heights of success but he relationship with label was getting bitter and more bitter. His next LP, “This Ain't Country" was issued independently. Though, Hank's third release, "Thrown Out Of The Bar” was issued in 2003. Undaunted by such obstacles, Hank continued to play as a bassist.
