One of Denver’s most celebrated festivals of the fall is Funk Festival. After a few residents started to inquire about a big celebration in the middle of the park the tour was started in 1994. It took some time, but eventually word spread and Funk Festival received some national attention The festival began to get some more established acts to perform, but still included the smaller that had been with the festival since the beginning. Hotel rooms in the city were soon being filled months in advance for the dates surrounding Funk Festival.
Now, Funk Festival tickets do not last long, generally selling out months before the actual event. The festival is now so big that just about any group will say yes if asked to perform. The organizers of the festival have not forgotten where they’ve come from though, and always ask local artists to play the smaller stages. Funk Festival seems to get bigger every year, with more stages and more acts every time around.
This year’s festival promises to be the biggest yet with a stacked bill full of star acts and the best up and comers. Funk Festival’s tickets are available at Ticket Specialists, along with the latest tour information and concert schedules.
