Fins to the Left started performing at Anyplace, a local bar. The bassist was encouraged to play by his grandmother. Fins to the Left knew that their dream of making an actual life for themselves as musicians had come true as soon as the group’s first fan club was started by Deb Teisberg in 1990. The fan club received a huge boost after Barbara Colangelo designed a website for the group. That coupled with the tour across the country saw the fan club’s official membership reach numbers in the thousands.
After this past hectic year the members of Fins to the Left will take some time off to work on side projects. The group recently finished their newest album, but they are thinking of what is next to come. Fins to the Left's new record took eleven months to record.
