Disney on Ice is a touring ice show produced by Feld Entertainment under agreement with The Walt Disney Company. Aimed primarily at children, the shows feature figure skaters dressed as Disney cartoon characters in performances that derive music and plot from the various Disney films; the "stars" of the show are the Disney characters themselves rather than the skaters.

Disney on Ice runs several productions and touring companies at any given time. The shows have played all over the world, including non-traditional skating regions like South America, the Middle East, and southeast Asia, as well as North America and Europe.

An extraordinary team that concentrates the magic power of Disney’s creative genius includes creative director Jerry Bilik; award-winning choreographer Barry Lather (renowned for his work with Olympic medalist Katarina Witt, Janet Jackson, Usher and Sting); lighting wizard LeRoy Bennett (Prince, David Bowie, MTV Awards); costume designer Robert L. Smith (Academy Award-winning and nominated films). The dazzling display of lighting artistry and sound effects, together with fireworks and other dramatic special effects, immerse the audience in the mysterious jungle.

The show features Academy Award-winning songs, such as “You’ll Be in My Heart” by Phil Collins and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” by Elton John. Well-received music from The Jungle Book, like “I Wanna Be Like You” and “The Bare Necessities” are set to a hip new swing beat, which tends to bring the audience to its feet.

The most exciting and cliff-hanging part of this audacious production lies in the innovative combination of world-class figure skating and daring acrobatic performance. Tarzan and Jane, the fearless couple, make ice show history while climbing into the canopy of the African jungle, expertly navigating the swaying branches and swinging between vines high above the ice. Using only their hands, the couple twist and turn into an intricate pattern of circus-like aerial acrobatics while suspended in mid air, with no safety nets below.
