Daniel has performed as a composer with some of the most eminent orchestras of music industry like the orchestras of Des Moines, Dallas, San Antonio, Memphis, the Brooklyn Philharmonic, the Chicago Sinfonietta as well as the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra among many others. He also works as the Music Director of Arnie Zane/ Bill T. Jones Dance Company. Apart from that he is OSL’s Assistant Composer-in-Residence. As a matter of fact, Daniel is involved with many such musical groups and ensembles like the Arizona State University, Seattle Theater Group etc. His debut solo album made under the banner of Thirsty Ear Records, ‘etudes4violin&electronix’ has added a feather to his cap. In it he has collaborated with stalwarts like Ryuichi Sakamoto, Philip Glass, and Christian A. Davis etc. It is a hybrid composition aimed at the iPod loving young generation that has the perfect blend of pulse and lyric.
Daniel has also excelled as a violinist and performer in his career. He has performed in alliance with compositions of Cassandra Wilson while conducting the Buffalo Philharmonic and Seattle Symphony Orchestra. The Lincoln Center summer festival got the touch of his musical genius when he collaborated with DJ Spooky. His other memorable performances include his performance with DJ Scientific in the Melbourne Arts Festival. He also performed at the PuSh Festival for the Performing Arts at Vancouver.
His achievement as the leader of the band ‘DBR & THE MISSION’ deserves a special mention. His band has 9 energetic and talented musicians hailing from diverse backgrounds. They also use a lot of high end and extremely sophisticated musical instruments. Some of the most well received and successful shows of the band have taken place at Miami’s Caleb Auditorium, Washington D.C.'s Kennedy Center, NYC’s Cutting Room, Gammage Auditorium of Arizona State University, Chicago’s Northwestern University, Reno’s ArtTown Festival and Montclair’s Kasser Theater. The New York Times has applauded the latest album of Daniel with superlative terms and hailed it as a path breaker.
