Dane Cook is an innovative comedian who has built a world wide fan base because of his unique style of humor and magnetizing performances. He was born as Dane Jeffrey Cook, born on March 18, 1972 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His first realized his comical talent when as  a teenager his father, himself a former radio personality, gave him a tape recorder and microphone. About Dane Cook

TCook made his television debut in 1995. He played the role of Kyle in five episodes of the short-lived ABC series Maybe This Time. His co stars were Marie Osmond and Betty White. He made his stand up debut in August, 1997, when he appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman.

Cook has an extensive filmography, he was recently seen in Joseph Kahn's "Torque" with Ice Cube and Christina Milian. His other feature films include The Farrelly Brothers "Stuck On You" with Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear, Peter Pau's "The Touch" with Michelle Yeoh, Kevin Elders' "Simon Sez" with Dennis Rodman, and Kinka Usher's "Mystery Men." Cook will return to the big screen in Lions Gate Film's "Waiting." The film has been written and directed by Rob McKittrick. He co-stars in the movie with Ryan Reynolds and Anna Faris. The film is about a group young employees employed in a restaurant called Shenanigan's. He will also appear in Hunter Richard's film "London" with co-stars Jessica Biel and Chris Evans.

As for Television, it has a lot of things coming up. He has just finished work on a situational comedy pilot for Sony entitled "Cooked."  Cook has written the script, stars in the comedy and is also executive producer. He will also make a series of appearances on late-night talk shows, and on Comedy Central's "Premium Blend," and "The Man Show." He is also lending his voice to "Crank Yankers" and "Shorties Watchin Shorties."

Although Cook has found fame ans success on other mediums like Films and Television, he still relishes his live stand up performances. Through his stand up acts and commitment to touring, Cook has built a huge following. He has had sell out crowds in venues as varied as Carnegie Hall to the 50,000 seater “Gater Growl” at the University of Florida. His has documented his extensive nation wide comedy tour in a film called "Tourgasm." 

Cook is presently celebrating the success of his recently released CD/DVD, "Retaliation" which has debuted at Number Four on the Billboard 200,  making him the highest charting comedian in past twenty-five years.  "Retaliation" has also been officially certified gold. This is the follow up to  Cook's debut release, "Harmful If Swallowed" which sold 230,000 copies in less than two years.
