"Cypress Hill" made a name for them. They are better known as first Latino hip-hop superstars. The band also earned some notorious remarks for endorsing marijuana. Then, they renamed themselves and thus born the Cypress Hill. Soon the band hit the local L.A. clubs and earned a reasonable following. Then, they were signed up with Ruffhouse/Columbia records in 1991. With B Real's exaggerated nasal whine and their stoned beats, the band made a sensational debut in 1992.
Before releasing their debut album, the band hit the music stores with their hit singles, "The Phuncky Feel One" and "How I Could Just Kill a Man." These numbers became major underground hits. In 1993, the band issued their next album, "Black Sunday," it sounded remarkably well and became another hit.
The band added it in the album charts and it went on to become a major Crossover hit. In 1995, the band added drummer Bobo in their line up and then embarked on the fifth Lollapalooza tour. Their third release, "Temples of Boom" followed after this. This album earned some mixed reviews.
Initially it sold quite well but it couldn't generate any genuine hit. In 1996, Sen Dog left the band and another member Muggs spent most of his time working on his own solo album. In 1998, Sen Dog rejoined the band, to record their next album. After two years, band issued their double-disc set, "Skull & Bones." One of the tracks, "Superstar" became a major hit.
In 2001, the band issued their hugely anticipated album, "Stoned Raiders." After three years, they released, "Till Death Do Us Part." Recently the ban issued their next album, a collection of their all time hits, "Greatest Hits from The B...." Catch them performing live in a concert, come and loose yourself in the world of music.
