It took three years, but eventually word spread and Campus Festival began to establish itself as a premier event The festival began to book acts that were known nationally and the festival started to get much press than when it began. Hotel rooms in the city were soon being booked months in advance for the dates surrounding Campus Festival.
Now one of the hottest events of the year, Campus Festival tickets will not last more than a couple of hours after being released to the public. The festival is now so big that just about any group will say yes if asked to sing. The organizers of the tour have not forgotten where they’ve come from though, and always ask local artists to play the smaller stages. Campus Festival’s organizers have been increasing the scope of the original festival these last few years to accommodate the increasingly eclectic taste of its audience.
