The members of Cabiria met in 1995. The lead singer was encouraged to play by his grandmother. Cabiria began performing at Container, a college bar. The band used to sell their CDs out of their van on the street.

After the single hit the airwaves and became incredibly popular, Cabiria knew they’d made it big and were not willing to be just another one hit wonder. The group continues to play large venues, but still enjoys playing in smaller clubs on occasion.
Cabiria realized that the possibility of living life as actual musicians was a distinct possibility as soon as Amy Kostner started the first fan club for the band in 1998. Starting out with just a few dozen members in Portland, the fan club quickly grew with band’s national tour and the launching of the group’s website by Karen Okerblom.
The band is in the midst of the accompanying tour for their new project. The newest record from Cabiria is the group's eighth release.
Often times, critics praise Cabiria for their ability to connect with the crowd at live performances. Springfield music critic Francis Ellenwood has always pointed out band’s incredible bassist. Cabiria’s most current release has received superb praise from notable music critics like Terry Vanderhoff and Ivan Harkenreader.
Cabiria is able to please the audience every concert by playing past hits and songs from their new project. The group has an obsession with Baby in Oklahoma City and are sure to play a show every year.
