In 1998, one of his popular songs "Freak of the Week" peaked up and consequently became a sizable hit. Though, the band could not survive for a long time, and he could record only two albums for the popular Elektra record.
After his break up from the band, he spent his next year producing good albums for some bands like: SR-71, and Injected. His diligent effort increased his reputation within the music industry, and then he quickly signed a contract as solo artist with Arista, resulted in the release of his debut album as solo artist.
