The Black Crowes are one of the all time great rock and roll bands in the world. They have been around since 1989 and have sold over 20 millions albums. About The Black Crowes
The Robinson brothers, Chris and Rich have always been the main leaders of the band. The bands first album “Shake Your Money Maker” was released back in 1990 and sold over 3 million copies. The group has had some ups and down which included band member changes and recording label changes. Although they even had some poor record sales they continued to do well on tour. The performed with Led Zeppelin and Jimmy Paige for several shows, as well as a tour with Page and The Who. To the disappointment of many of their fans however, the group took a hiatus in 2002.
Chris Robinson kept himself busy during this time. He focused on his solo career, where he released two albums and went on tour. During this time period he was newly married to actress Kate Hudson, whom he wed in 2000 and they also had a son together named Ryder, who was born on January 7, 2004. Sadly however the couple parted ways and divorced in September 2006.
The band recently released their new album titled “Warpaint” and it went all the way to #5 on the Billboard Chart. In order to build excitement for the new album the group did a special series of performances where they performed the entire new album for their audience. The Black Crowes are back this summer after releasing “Warpaint” in March. The band released the album on it own independent label, Silver Arrow. The international tour was launched on March 24 in Australia and is making its way around the world, stopping off in Europe before starting the US leg in May that will last until the holidays.
