The LSU Tigers comprise of all the athletic teams of LSU and represent the Louisiana State University (LSU). The LSU is also a founding member of the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) and the Southeastern Conference (SEC). In the year 1935, the Tigers own the 'Mythical National Championship' under the label leadership of then Head Coach Harry Rabenhorst. He is also credited with the team reaching to the NCAA Division I, 1953 Final Four.

Dale Brown: He is considered as the gardener of the LSU Tigers Men's Basketball Team. Under his tutorage, the Tigers had the best career run they could have possible imagined. In the time between 1981-1986, Brown led his team to NCAA Division I Final Four. He was offered the job of Head Coach at the Louisiana University, that he gladly accepted and moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He came as a replacement for the outgoing coach Press Maravich.
In the 1978-1979 season, the Tigers finished 14-4 in the Southeastern Conference (SEC), that gave LSU its first conference championship and first NCAA tournament appearance in 25 years. The 1985-1986 season is considered to be the best season in the entire basketball history of the LSU. A golden era that has been stenciled as evergreen memories. The LSU started the season with a 14-0 start and and went on to finish the season with a 22-11 record.
