San Antonio sees many tourists each year with its popular attractions; River Walk, the Alamo, Tejano Culture, Sea World and Six Flags Fiesta. The River Walk is a must see place to see when visiting San Antonio. There are tons of restaurants, shops, bars and sights to see. The river walk boat ride will give you the history and a full view of the River Walk. The Alamo is only a few minute walk away from the River Walk. The Fairmont Hotel, built in 1906, is one of the heaviest buildings ever moved intact. They moved the hotel three blocks south of the Alamo and it cost $650,000 to move and took 4 days. The largest medical center employs over 27,000 people, the defense industry employs over 89,000 people and the tourism industry employs over 94,000 residents of San Antonio. San Antonio only has one professional sport which is The San Antonio Spurs of the NBA. They have been playing since 1973 and have won four NBA Championships. In 2005 San Antonio served as home to the NFL team the New Orleans Saints because of Hurricane Katrina. The Saints moved back to their stadium in 2006 and San Antonio is trying to lure the football team to move there permanently. In 2006 San Antonio made an attempt to move the Florida Marlins from South Florida to the city but the offer was declined.

San Antonio is the home of authentic Tex-Mex to both residents and tourists. There are plenty of authentic Mexican Restaurants that can be found all over the city and all are relatively inexpensive. Some of the famous restaurants include Jacala, Karam’s and Los Barrios.
