Chicago, Illinois is the largest city in the Midwest and the third largest city in the United States. Chicago attracts many tourists throughout the year due to its upscale shopping along the Magnificent Mile, thousands of restaurants and its exciting architecture. Some of the biggest tourist attractions are Navy Pier, Chicago Cultural Center, Millennium Park, the Museum Campus and many more. Navy Pier houses retail, restaurants, museums, exhibitions halls and auditoriums. There is a 150 – foot tall ferris wheel and is one of the most visited landmarks in the Midwest. Millennium Park, unveiled in the 21st century, contains restaurants, an outdoor skating rink, Pritzker Pavilion, Harris Theater for Music and Dance, and other attractions. >> More

About Chicago

Chicago is home to many major sporting teams; The Chicago White Sox who play at US Cellular Field, The Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, The Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks at the United Center, and the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. The White Sox won the World Series in 2005 and with the south side and north side rivalry there were a lot of upset Cubs fans. The Bulls is one of the most recognized basketball teams in the league with Michael Jordan and their six NBA championships in eight seasons during the 1990’s.

Chicago is also home to many theaters for entertainment and the performing arts. Chicago offers Broadway-style entertainment at theaters such as Ford Center for the Performing Arts Oriental Theatre, LaSalle Bank Theatre, Cadillac Palace Theatre, Auditorium Building of Roosevelt University, and Drury Lane Theatre at Water Tower Place. The theater district is located in a couple block radius in downtown Chicago with many restaurants to choose from to eat and drink at before or after the event.

Chicago is home to some of the tallest skyscrapers known as the Sears Tower, Aon Center, and the John Hancock Center. The Sears Tower is the second largest building in the United States behind the Empire State Building which is located in New York City. The city’s architecture also includes many lakefront high-rise residential buildings that have amazing views of the entire city.
