The Broad River runs along the southern township of Boiling Springs. As per the United States Census Bureau, this city has a total land area of 4.3 square miles. It doesn’t have any water area. The census of 2000 recorded that there were 3,866 people in this city. Out of them, 1,117 were households and 832 families residing there. Its population density was 891.7 people per square mile.

This city accommodates 1,184 housing units at an average density of 273.1/sq mi. As per the records, its racial makeup is 89.29% White, 8.67% African American, 0.13% Native American, 0.78% Asian, 0.41% from other races and 0.72% belonging to two or more races. Its 1.40% population is of Hispanic or Latino race.
