The key for every artist is to try and revel in the moment when things are good and recognize when to try and change their image when those times are coming to an end. Scarlett Johansson is trying to get past that whole sex symbol thing to no male fans delight (I expect to see Ryan Reynolds maimed anytime soon for ruining her). Britney Spears decided that she was not crazy and shrewdly owned the former image with her latest album Circus to mock herself and regain control of her image. Well, the Jonas Brothers are beginning to take a stand with poorly grown facial hair.
Yes fans with Jonas Brothers tickets get to see the stoic stand…if they are in the first row. Nineteen-year-old Joe Jonas has been photographed with pubescent goatee complete with lower lip patch. Meanwhile, if you have close up your camera you can see puberty starting to grow out of 16-year-old Nick Jonas’s top lip. You also get to see the pimples and blackheads that come with the testicular drop.

Yes, times are tough and the Jonas Brothers appear to taking a stand and showing a little bit of edge with a few sparsely spaced fin man hairs that will surely drive girls wild (Oh My God He Shaves!!!). I commend the two youngest band members. I too would try something drastic if I found out that Johansson was retiring from Vixen-dom at the young age of 24, but sadly I cannot grow decent facial hair in my mid-20s and do not want ot be mocked on Facebook.

I also enjoyed the antics of Britney and revel in the sadistic slide of a celebrity to the bottom of the charts. Her whole comeback thing is a tragic blow to my enjoyment of the Soup on E! Luckily the Hills and the dozens of spinoffs give Joe McHale plenty of material to mock.
No, the boys are growing up and it will be interesting to see how Disney handles a female artist trying to change herself into a femme fatale (Miley Cyrus) and a pop rock group that will soon have some sexual subtext in their lyrics that goes beyond holding hands on a first date. I also am glad Spears has turned things around. It is sadly enjoyable to watch a single star fall, but once she has children I start to feel guilty. The whole ScarJo announcement is sad though. I now hate Ryan Reynolds, no matter how awesome the new Woverine Trailer looks. (Once, again posted from Youtube).
